Mosquitoes test positive for West Nile Virus in West Valley City and Magna
Mosquitoes have tested positive for West Nile Virus within the Magna Mosquito Abatement District (MMAD) boundaries. MMAD employees have tested mosquitoes since May and on July 20, 2023 we found our first West Nile Virus positive mosquito sample. Since then we have found 15 additional positive mosquito samples around the district. We are doing what we can to mitigate the mosquito population but even with our efforts you will see mosquitoes at times. Please do what you can to protect yourself from mosquito bites from dusk to dawn.
